Everyone, let me introduce you all to Owen Boone, or AKA, Kentucky! (Is it funny how I'm going to Kentucky for the weekend tomorrow? XD)
State: The Commonwealth of Kentucky
Birthday/Date of Statehood: June 1st, 1792 (15th)
Human Name: Owen Boone (His name is reference to Owensboro, the 3rd largest city in Kentucky, and Boone is a reference to Daniel Boone, who is credited to founding Kentucky.)
Owen is a strong young man, he once lived with his older sister Virginia, but eventually he left the nest and went his own way. He's still very close to his sister.
Owen has a horse named Derby, who he enjoys to race in the annual races. Derby typically carries his banjo. (He LOVES Bluegrass music and will pull the banjo out anywhere to play it, even in the most serious of moments.) When he's not being playful, he is quite serious and down to Earth.
Fact:
-15th State in the Union
-Was a border state during the Civil War, so much of the deep south holds some grudges against him for not joining their side during the war
-He sometimes smokes a pipe when he's under stress
-Very nature friendly
P.S.: The chibi of him being angry about being called 'Colonel' is he doesn't like the fact that everybody think all Kentucky is good/known for is for fried chicken.

Hurr, I am quite suprised of how well informed your OC is. Although, Kentucky and Virgina don't get along as well as you'd think. And second, during the Civil War, though Kentucky played both sides, it was officially part of the Union after two invasions, one from the north, the other from the south. The south had invaded first. ))
